To date, Wasserman’s works are in many corporate collections, including those of: Morgan, Lewis, Bochius in Miami; Blue Cross & BlueShield in Philadelphia; the Travelers Mortgage Company in New Jersey; Motel Planning Concepts, Mt. Kisco, N.Y., Liberty Properties Trust, Malvern, PA; Astra Zeneca Pharmaceuticals, in Delaware and Glaxo Smith, Kline in Conshohocken, PA. Graphics clients have included many major corporations and institutions, amongst them: Johnson & Johnson; the Wistar Institute; the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra; the SmithKline Corporation; the City of Philadelphia; Miller Brewing Company; the Pennwalt Corporation and hundreds of collectors and patrons.

Background

Wasserman’s mastery of material, color, and space was developed in an 18-year career as a graphic artist, illustrator, art director and designer, a period during which he created the Myron Wasserman Graphic Design Studio, specializing in corporate identity and environmental graphics. Since 1986, he has devoted himself almost exclusively to the creation of fine art: painting, mixed media constructions, and then almost exclusively to single and multi axis metal mobiles and stabiles.

Honors/Awards

Wasserman has received recognition and awards in every artistic competition in which his work has been entered, from the first, The Art Directors Club of Philadelphia, in which two of his works tied each other for the best of show. In subsequent years, his work there received Gold, Silver and Merit Awards in six separate categories. In addition, he has been honored by many other professional organizations, Including the Ameri-can Institute of Graphic Arts’ Award of Excellence for Corporate Identity, and Gold Awards in five separate categories from Neographics, the printing industry’s annual awards competition. He was also selected and Honored as a Bravo Artist, to watch .

Exhibitions

Since focusing on fine art in 1986, Wasserman’s work has received extensive exhibition attention. In 1987, his work has been exhibited at a One Man Show at Berenfeld and Brown, Merion; at Frederic Williams, Inc., New York; at the Vassar Designers Show House, Grey Craig House, Devon; The Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Marketplace, Philadelphia. In 1986 his works where shown at group exhibits at the Langman Gallery and Bread and Roses Foundation, both in Philadelphia. Earlier exhibitions include The Art Institute of Philadelphia, Stockton State College, Art Lot, and The Franklin Institute.
