Creation/Fabrication/Installation

Wasserman Studios has been designing and fabricating one-of-a-kind site specific kinetic mobile sculptures, stabiles, and architectural elements for private collectors, public spaces, corporations, and institutions.

The mobiles and art pieces are formed from various metals such as aluminum, bronze, brass, copper, steel, and stainless steel. The final finishes (patinas), include those that are acid-etched, metal-plated, painted, and ground textures, as well as those that are recrystallized, polished, and inlaid with dichroic glass, crystals, and metals. Each element is designed and precisely cut from various metals and materials. The weight of each piece is determined by the balance necessary for the final designs. The patinas are individually hand-crafted on each piece before they are weighed; they are then adjusted to ensure the balance of the final work.

The sculptures are of all sizes, and are custom-made for the specific environments in which they are installed. The viewers’ imaginations are enriched by the beauty of the designs, movements and their fascinating patinas.
